To resolve problems that occur while trying to boot from USB it is important to realize the following distiction:

As of version 2.10 USBoot does not apply any changes to the MBR or bootsector of the USB device. So if the boot process does not even proceed to the point where the Windows XP boot menu is being displayed then the cause is to be sought in the MBR/BIOS/bootsector/device-compatibility area and you should have a second look at the 'Prearrangements & Pretest' page.

If the boot menu is being displayed you may select the option 'observe bootmessages' and follow the output printed on the screen. USBoot's modules will come into play once the kernel has been initialized (visually recognizable by the change in the screen background from black to blue or grey).
